Fine Finish

Denaby Lose at Doncaster

Doncaster Town 126 for 7, Denaby 125

Denaby and Cadeby’s game with Doncaster Town, at Doncaster, provided an exciting finish.  Doncaster winning with only five minutes to spare.

Denaby batted until teatime for 125, and Lieut. R. Sare (Army), the Oxford Blue, batted steadily for his 25, while the other batsmen failed to uphold their previous week’s reputation.

After losing two early wickets, Doncaster went on to make 126 for 7 against the good bowling and fielding of Denaby.  Smith (50), and Renshaw (21), were Doncaster’s main scorers.

For Doncaster Burton had 4 for 29, and for Denaby Robinson had 3 for 30 and Wathey 2 for 13.
