Hickleton Main 238 Denaby and Cadeby 234 for 9

GH Booth 124 not out; a Robinson 5-97, H.W.Smith 3-28 E Glennon 101

Hickleton had reason to suppose that with the score of 238 on the board, they were in an unassailable position, but the wicket was in beautiful condition, teeming with runs, and the Denaby men were out to use the long handle.

They scored at a quicker rate even than did Hickleton.

Arthur Robinson collected 41 in a little more than 10 minutes. The star feature of the Denaby effort, however, was the brilliant century of Teddy Glennon, the popular Sheffield Wednesday footballer, who for the first time in his career reached three figures.
