Played at Mitchell Main on Saturday.

The home captain winning the toss, and elected to bat. Sending in the usual, pair I. Washington and T. Lee, to face the bowling of G. L. Robinson and W. Scott. The score was carried to 24 when a double change in the bowling was made. J. Ball, a new recruit from Chesterfield, a good fast bowler, clean bowled Washington for 18 and then Russell for 0. Allen joined lee, who carried the score to 61 when he were bowled by Hufton for 32.  Ackroyd and Senior put on 66 for the next wicket, when Senior was bowled for 20, Ackroyd being bowled later by Butler for a well played 45, the best innings he has played this season. Tapper soon made friends with the home spectators by his merry hitting, putting on 23 before he was caught by p. Bury. The innings was declared at 172 for nine wickets.

The visitors opened with A. Robinson and J. Esland to the bowling of Senior and Allan. By careful play the total was taken to 42, when the latter was bowled by Tapper Butler filled the vacancy, 15 runs being added before A. Robinson was splendidly caught by Ackroyd for 18. P. Bury was l.b.w for 8. Smith did not stay long, but Narroway and G.L Robinson getting together, the game was made safe, ending in a draw, the total being 124 for six wickets
