Too Good for Denaby
Goring was in fine form for Rockingham in the Yorkshire Council game against Denaby on Saturday. He had the first three wickets with only 28 runs on the board. Middle batsmen Oakley (14) and Dodds (15) managed to recover a little, but even so it depended on the last wicket pair of Lawley and Debbs to take Denaby’s final total to 91. Goring had an average of three for 24 and Kingston three for 27 stop
Rockingham openers Hallam and Swallow put on 39 before they were parted, Moxon added 10, but Derek Pawley (41 not out) and Cooke (8 not out) knocked off the necessary runs.
