Keble College Beaten
Keble College (Oxford) 169 for 8              Denaby 176 for 3

The tourists brought off their second win on Wednesday at Oxford. It was a clever performance, Denaby making 176 to win the match with three wickets standing after the Keble College captain had declared with eight wickets down. Chief performances were Larke (three for 40), who got Kettle after he had made 51, another of the College’s highest contributor; and Greenwood (67) and Shoesmith (30) with the bat

Keen Game at Chiswick
>Civil Service Crusaders 111                     Denaby 92 for 6

The last match of the tour, with the Civil Service Crusaders at Chiswick on Friday, proved a very keen contest. Higgins (five for 50) Worthington (two for 24), and Clark (two for 23), dismissed the Londoners cheaply, but the Denaby batsmen also found runs difficult to get. The determined stand by Greenwood (22 not out) and Worthington (21 not out) at a critical point awarded off a threatened collapse and Denaby were only 19 runs behind with four wickets in hand when the end came.
