Denaby Canal Rescue

William Keeley, 12. of Annerley street, Denaby, was rescued last night in an unconscious state from the Denaby canal by a man whose identity is not known.

The bov was walking by the bridge when he had a fit of dizziness and fell into the water.

He tried to swim and shouted, but was getting exhausted when his cries attracted the attention of a  man who pulled him out with a walking stick. .

After artificial respiration the boy recovered consciousness.
