Denaby – Drunk on Licensed Premises
Thomas Conroy and Michael McGrath, colliers, of Denaby, were summoned for drunkenness on licensed premises, at Mexborough, on the 6th inst.
Police-constable Webber stated that he visited the Mason’s Arms Inn, on the 6th inst., at 10.30 p.m., and saw there the defendants, who were in a drunken condition.
The landlord said the men had only just entered the house, and ordered them home. They were sitting down, but were not drinking.
Conroy said he was a little the worse for liquor, and asked the Bench to look over the offence, and he would try to do better for the future.
McGrath was fined 2s. 6d. and costs, and Conroy 5s. and costs.
