Denaby Excursions – Liverpool & Hull

August 1897

Mexborough and Swinton Times August 6, 1897

Denaby Excursions.

By reason of the many colliery and other excursions tomorrow (Saturday) Mexborough will practically be deserted, and there will likely not be much business done.

The committee of the Denaby Main and Cadeby Lodges have made arrangements with the (now) Great Central Railway company to journey to Liverpool, leaving Mexborough at 5:45 AM and returning from Liverpool at 10:50 PM;

Whereas the surface men go to Hull, travelling over the South Yorkshire Joint Railway, leaving Denaby station at 7 AM, and returning from Hull at 11:15 PM.
