Denaby Game “Off”
Denaby United have been obliged to cancel their Midland league fixture with Grantham Town planned for Tickill Square tomorrow (Saturday) on account of the state of the ground.
A start was made on Wednesday to clear the ground of snow. But committee members and officials who volunteered for the work found the task a colossal one.
Snow is still more than a foot deep in the ground.
A number of Denaby United’s postponed fixtures – this was the third in successive weeks – have been rearranged, and Denaby have six home games next month.
