Denaby Husband’s Kiss
Mrs William Chiddly denied that her husband was drunk on Saturday week.
“Poor owd Bill wor’ too fond o’ me to do that,” she said, with a smile.
PC Rushton heard William use fearful language to his wife as they went along the street. He was drunk.
Mrs Chiddly said all that happened was that she wouldn’t let “owd Bill” kiss her, while so many were looking on, and naturally like he got a bit excited.”
She kissed him afterwards.
