Denaby in the Midland League
The coming football season is confidently anticipated at Denaby, and the review of the fixtures has proved highly satisfactory to the club’s supporters, contrary to last year, when the arrangements were decidedly groggy.
The first match of the season is with Barnsley Reserve, for the Midland League, of course, at Barnsley. Halfway through the list will be noticed eight consecutive matches at home, and I regard this as a capital arrangement on the part of Mr Dunn, the secretary.
Besides the new blood already known to the public, the club will probably to agreement with other players of good repute, and on the whole no fear is entertain regarding the performance of the team in its new sphere.
I understand it is intended to apply for the admission of the Reserves into the Sheffield Association League.
