The final competition for the president’s prize took place on July 21st and 23rd, and was won by Mr. A. Brealey. The following were the scores:—

On Saturday, July 30th, a match will be shot with the Barnsley and District Rifle Club, at Cudworth, at 200, 500, and 600 yards. Competition for places in the team took place on Saturday, when the following were successful in securing places, viz.:—A. Brealey, A. H. Barnard, F. French, H. S. Witty, G. West, and E. Robinson. The remaining four will be selected by the captain.

The annual prize shooting and competition for the Kilner Challenge Cup will take place on Saturday, August 13th. The following prizes have been given:—

Case of silver spoons, Mr. H. H. Wray; meerschaum pipe, Mr. Geo. White; silver sugar bowl, Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs; box of cigars, Mr. T. Weston; ham, Mr. Wortley; butter dish, Mr. Gichard; cigar case, a friend; committee prizes: silver-plated egg stand, silver pencil case;

There is also a special prize for members joining between July 1st and Aug. 13th, given by Mrs. A. H. Barnard, a silver-mounted walking stick. The prizes are at present on exhibition at Mr. Wray’s, at Denaby Main.
