Denaby Main Sunday School Anniversary
On Sunday two sermons were preached, morning and evening by Mr John Killingrey of Doncaster to large congregations.
A good selection of hymns were sung by the children and choir, under the leadership of Mr J.K.Bateson of Conisborough, accompanied by a string band, in which which Mr M Soar (Denaby) and Messrs Reesebeck and Giles (Doncaster) took part. Miss Flockton presided at the organ.
In the afternoon address was delivered to the parents and children by Mr Laughton of Conisborough.
On Monday a tea was provided to those of 200 teachers and scholars, after which a meeting was held in the schoolroom, presided over by Mr W.H.Chambers, of Conisborough.
Excellent addresses on Sunday school work were given by the Reverent A Stoves (Conisborough) and Messes Killingrey, Dance and Hassleby (Doncaster)
