Denaby Man Seriously Injured.
Alleged Assault with an Earthenware Vessel
To-day, John Cahill, miner, Annerley Street, Denaby was charged with unlawfully wounding Fred Kay, labourer Melton View, Denaby
It was stated that the assault took place at 104, Annerley Street, just before ten o’clock Saturday night.
Superintendent Hickes said that Kay, who was unable to appear, was hit on the head with an earthen vessel. He was in danger of his life. The Superintendent for adjournment for a week.
Application was made for bail.
Superintendent Hickes opposed bail because of the serious condition of Kay.
Prisoner was remanded in custody for a week.
