Denaby Miners and Saturday Working
At a meeting of the Denaby Main Miners’ Lodge, held the previous evening in the club room of the Masons’ Arms, Doncaster Road, it was decided that a deputation should wait upon the management of Denaby Main Colliery.
The purpose of the deputation was to arrange matters so that it would not be necessary for the men to work until five o’clock or later on Saturdays in the future. The deputation was also instructed to request that no men should be required to work later than three o’clock on Saturdays.
