Local Excursions

Being Feast week the day schools had a holiday on Monday, a large number of parents availing themselves of the opportunity and took their children to the seaside.

The members of the Denaby church choir had their annual outing in the Dukeries on Monday.

Accidents

A serious accident befell C. Marshall, a surface man, on Monday afternoon, at Cadeby colliery. He was conveyed in the ambulance to the Fullerton hospital, where it was found he had sustained a fractured leg..

A little girl about five years of age met with an accident in the fairground near the Station Hotel. She was riding on the roundabouts on Monday night, when it is supposed she felt dizzy and fell to the ground, sustaining an injury to the head and serious bruises about the body.

Cricket

The Denaby team gained another very creditable victory on Saturday, when they accounted for the Stairfoot and Ardsley team.
