Denaby Postmaster leaves after 23 Years

After 23 Years.

Mr. R. L. Easterbrook has left Denaby Post Office after being there for 23 years, and has moved to Doncaster, Balby Road, Post Office.

Mr. Harold Cromack is the new Denaby Postmaster. Mr. Cromack, who has come from Doncaster head office, is a former Warmsworth man.

Mr Easterbrook came to Denaby from Hull in 1931. He has been a member of Conisbrough Urban District National savings committee for 15 years and has recently been awarded a long service medal. He is secretary of the Doncaster and Goole district of the National Federation of Postmasters. He has been a member of Conisbrough and Denaby chamber of trade for a number of years and as a keen amateur gardener was a member of Denaby allotment Society.

During the First World War he saw active with the D. L. I. In France and during the last war he was a special constable. Throughout the years of Postmaster his wife has helped him at the counter of the post office
