Denaby Powder Works.

The announcement that Messrs. Shearman and Johnston, auctioneers, Doncaster and Rotherham, are to sell a large number of buildings front the Denaby Filling Station gave rise to a statement that what are known locally as the Powder Works were to be closed down.

This is not so the sale being by order of the Disposal Board, and only affecting the buildings which the Government erected to expedite a larger output of explosives and munitions during the war.

The British Westfalite Explosives Ltd. are, we understand, to continue their business, in their works near Old Denaby as before during the war.

The British Westfalite Explosives Company, are now back again at their own manufacturing business, which they have carried on at the Denaby works for over 4 years.
