Denaby Supporters Have Had Record Turnover
Denaby United F.C. Supporters’ Club held their annual meeting on Sunday, when it was reported that the club had dealt with a record turnover of £1,350. Of this about £800 was profit. The club have given £550 of this to the parent club.
It was also reported that the Supporters Club were increasing the height of the boundary wall of the ground- behind the Supporters’ Club hut by about three feet. Sixty five yards of the six feet high wall is being raised to nine feet at present and work is expected to be finished in about a week’s time. The improvements are being made to prevent children climbing over the wall.
At the meeting the president, Mr. Jack Greathead said he was quite disappointed to see so few members attending the annual meeting. He thanked all those who had, helped the Supporters’ Club in any way.
Officials elected were: president, Mr. J. Greathead; secretary, Mr. A. G. Allport; chairman, Mr. J. MacNicholl; treasurer, Mr. J. Web ster; vice-chairmen, Mr. A. Webster, Mr. L. Richardson, and Mr. J. Taylor; committee, Messrs. J. Dainty, W. Colley, T. Stones, W. Earp, D. ford, C. Jackson and W. Jackson.
