Denaby’s win at Tickhill Square on Boxing Day completed their fifth double of the season over their South Yorkshire neighbours—a notable, if not unique record.
Denaby have also this season beaten Wath and Mexboro’ in F.A. Cup ties. The record of the Midland League matches with South Yorkshire clubs is as follows:-
25 August won at Wath 1-0.
3 September beat Doncaster 3-0.
7 September beat Wath 3-2.
3 November heat Wombwell 6-2.
17 November won at Wombwell I-0.
15 December won at Doncaster 3-I.
25 December won at Mexboro, 1-0.
26 December beat Mexboro’ 2-1.
