At last evening, before a poor attendance. Denaby give a trial to no less than five district junior players, while the County included Nute and Ripley, left, wing from Red House, and ARobinson, centre half from Rotherham Amateurs.
Early on, Shepherd saved brilliantly, but after ten minutes Tufnell gave Denaby the lead. Draper equalised for the County just before the interval.
In the second half the game was ragged in character, neither goalkeeper having much to do.
Towards the end, from corner kicks well placed, the County twice experienced narrow escapes.
Result: Denaby United 1 goal Rotherham County 1 goal
