Sheffield Daily Telegraph – Thursday 10 April 1930
Denaby United
Club Will Fulfil its Fixtures.
The “Sheffield Telegraph” is informed bv Mr. T. Swinbourne, secretary-manager of the Denaby United Football Club, that there is nothing the nature of a crisis at Denaby and that there never has been the slightest possibility of the club not fulfilling its fixtures this season.
At the recent annual meeting there were alterations to the committee and officials by constitutional proceedings, and, as was reported at that time the club came to a decision to remain in the Midland League next season.
Mr. Swinbourne made it quite clear that the club would fulfil the remaining fixtures of the present season.
The statement recently made about the committee having resigned is inaccurate. There were four or five members of the old committee who were not re-elected who were prepared to continue service, and the new committee was elected in proper order.
