Denaby United Football Club Sports.

The fourth annual sports of the Denaby United F.C. took place  this afternoon on the Denaby football ground in fine weather and before a big crowd.

The programme was one of exceptional attractiveness. Owing to the limitations of the ground, the Sports Committee had to confine themselves to events, but the competition was the keenest, and the sport of the best.

There were some well-known names among the competitors, including F. C. Northbridge, Irish American A.C., U.S.A. ; D. A. Burton, Scarborough; F. Oldfield] Bradford; G. W. Hopkins. Derby: H, Pegg, Derby ; F. S. Jones, Leicester; J. Smith, Bradford, a competitor in the Olympic Sports games; W. Whittington. Salford, four miles Northern Counties champion; J. Murphy, Hallamshire Harriere, four miles Irish champion; and J. H. O’Donnel, Philadelphia. U-S.A.

As usual the arrangements were excellent.
