Denaby Recruits

Despite keen competition from other clubs Denaby United have secured the signature of E Colton, an 18-year-all outside right from Wentworth F.C., Sheffield Junior Club. He weighs 11 stones and 5’7”.

The club did a good stroke of business yesterday when securing the signature of Irvine Ellison, a 20 year old left back who has been with Chesterfield for the past top seasons. He hails from Stockbridge and is a well-known cricketer, having assisted Elsecar in the Yorkshire Council League as a fast bowler. He stands 5ft 8in, and weighs 11 st 6 lbs. Both the new players will turn out against Scunthorpe tomorrow.
