Denaby Fall at Boston

Boston United 4 Denaby United 0

The visit of the “wooden spoonists” resulted in one of the worst games seen Boston this season. Boston won by 4-0. but the score does not reflect their superiority in a footballing sense.  Indeed, had they shown any snap in front of goal Boston must have doubled their tally, but numerous centres by Tunstall which simply asked to be converted were thrown away.

Denaby were good plodders, but that is all and it was easily appreciated why they are experiencing their worst season for many a long day. The forwards were totally lacking in ideas and the only shot Taylor had to save was a 30 vards free kick by Green. Nottley (2), Harman and Mitcham were the scorers.
