First Half Lead.
Denaby Surprise Bradford City.
Bradford City 2, Denaby United 2
Denaby United accomplished a capital performance at Valley Parade by bringing a point away.
They created a surprise by crossing over two goals ahead, but finishing on either side was poor, in fact, Bradford missed a penalty in the first half, Noble shooting straight at Uriah. Bradford opened in lively fashion, but after raids in which father was twice dangerous, Denaby opened their account after 10 minutes. Killourhy, fastening on to a centre from Robinson, put the ball well clear of the reach of Ellis, city’s goalkeeper
The United continued to wield heavy pressure, Carver wants more being prominent, and after Bradford had missed their penalty, Strachen added Denaby’s second after scrambling play in the goalmouth, five minutes from the interval. Their defence, playing stubborn football, stood them in good stead, however, on the resumption. But after five minutes Leach, who later shot wide with only Uriah into beat, reduced the arrears, and Wass, elusive on the wing, equalised. Taylor, Bradford outside left. Had a happy afternoon.
