The visitors had to defend early in the game. More attacking by Bradford followed and when Thorburn centered, Jenkinson scored.

The home team had the better of game, though Denaby often attacked.

Half time score: Bradford City Reserves 1 goal, United none.

In the second half Knoeshaw,  in Bradford’s goal, was frequently called upon, and he failed to stop Gadsby from getting through.

Just before close Tufnell gave the visitors the lead.
