Denaby United put up good fight against Bradford City Reserves at Valley Parade, yesterday but were beaten by a better side.

Brannon kept out some good shots before he was ultimately beaten by a header by Marshall, and soon after Hall increased City’s lead with a terrific drive.

Just before the interval Fisher (Denaby) retired hurt. He had evidently twisted himself.

Immediately after the restart Hall scored another goal with a volley, and Marshall added a fourth. Hargreaves reduced the lead for Denaby, who strove hard with four forwards, but could not got through a strong defence.
