Bradford Res. 3, Denaby United 0
At Park Avenue, Bradford. The first half was evenly contested with Denaby having the best scoring chances. Fitzgerald and King both missed easy chances after good work by Carter. Both sides played good football during the half, although the frozen state of the ground made it difficult for the players to control the ball.
After the interval the visitors fell away, with Bradford showing improved form, the Denaby defence was severely tested. Barker eventually beat Astle, and this was followed by two further goals by Barker and Hawley. Denaby made many raids on the Bradford goal. Carter being conspicuous with several splendid centres, but Ward and Barnett defended stubbornly and it was seldom that Bell was called upon.
Denaby were best served by Carter, King, Taylor and Skelton.
