Better Display Than Previous Games.
But the Margin was Decisive.

Burton Town 6 Denaby United 0

Although Denaby United were beaten comparatively heavily, they gave a much better display than in previous games.

Denaby chief weakness was at halfback. Green, who was making his debut in goal for United, gave a good display, while Carver, also first time, did well on the right wing.

Betts returned to the attack after eight weeks rest, and Hill, Mace and Clifford came into the side at the last minute.
