Juniors Do Well For Denaby.
Denaby United 0 Hull City Reserves 0
Denaby United and Hull City Reserves shared the points in a goalless game at Tickhill Square.
Denaby did most of the pressing and were often dangerous. The visitors, on the other hand, gave a very moderate display, and except for Hendry and Barras, in the defence, and Charlesworth at centre, the side was weak.
Froggatt, a recruit from a Sheffield works team, gave an exceedingly good display for United, as did Moseley, a local junior, who turned out at centre-forward.
Beasley the home right back, risked a sixty yards’ shot, which struck the ground immediately in front of goal, missing the crossbar by inches.
