Denaby had an experience against Barnsley Reserves on Saturday which they will not want repeating. Despite the cleverness of their opponents, they stuck gamely to their task, but were beaten 5-1 at home.
Pigg opened the scoring bundling Speight and the ball through. Then Gibbs scored from Pigg’s pass, and immediately after got another, and later completed his “hat trick,” whilst Harvey scored the fifth from close in. Kaye scored for Denaby.
