Denaby Defeat Bradford City.
Denaby United 1 Bradford City Reserve 0
In the first half of the game with Bradford City Reserve, Denaby United played and extended the visitors’ defence to the full. Mellors brought off several fine saves, but the forwards missed several easy chances.
Tuffnell made amends for a big mistake by scoring a goal after the interval for Denaby. The play was more even, but with Dodsley injured, the home forwards fell away considerably.
On the whole, however, Denaby were the better team.
The visitors were disappointing, their fault being a tendency to balloon the ball too much.
