Midland League.
Gainsboro’ Trinity Win at Denaby.
Denaby United 1 Gainsborough Trinity 2
Gainsborough Trinity were too good for Denaby, at Denaby, yesterday, and won by the odd goal in three.
Neither side showed much combination, though Gainsborough’s backs were stronger, and their forwards more dangerous, than those of Denaby.
Buttery scored for the visitors after about half an hour’s play, and increased the lead early in The second half.
Denaby’s goal was scored by Hamilton ten minutes from time.
Denaby gave trials to two new forwards. Bellamy, of Sheffield, and Richardson, of Huddersfield. The former did fairly well, though he was not given much scope.
