Denaby United 1  Gainsborough Trinity 4

Denaby United, after their strenuous Cup-ties with Boston, re-appeared at home to meet in Gainsborough Trinity, another team still pursuing the Cup.

Denabv introduced three young players, Rodgers at right back, and Power and Jones the forward line, and these changes, together with Denaby’s lack  of freshness and the miserable conditions which prevailed, were answerable for a decline in form of the home team, who were beaten 4-1 by a side smarter all round team on the day’s play.

There were 2.000 spectators.
