Fine Game at Denaby
Hull City Reserves were full value for the point which they took away from Denaby yesterday, although they were painfully weak front of goal.
On the other hand, the home team were completely off colour, and played anything but like the combination in the running for the championship one has grown accustomed to see win matches at Denaby with almost monotonous regularity.
The defence was always shaky, while the forwards never got going properly. Hull were a clever lot and in the first half had full share of the play.
Denaby owing to a missed penalty having crossed over upon level terms.
Mid way through the second half Denaby, who were playing ten men, were awarded a further penalty, but this time Gadsby, their recent capture made no mistake.
The equaliser, which came with only three minutes to go. was a brilliant effort on the part of Hunter.
For Denaby, Dyal, Gadsby and Ball were clever forwards, the halves good, with Hancock a safe custodian. The visitors were well served in all departments. Hall, Pace, Cuggy, Hunter, Evans, Browell and Cook were conspicuous.
