In the first half Barnsley had by far the better of matter and scored the only goal up to the interval.
Afterwards the balance of play was in favour of the home team and goals were scored by McNeil and Roper, and, maintaining their lead despite the determined efforts of Barnsley to draw level, won by the score :—Denaby United, 2 goals; Barnsley Reserve 1 goal.
