Denaby Complete Double
Denaby completed a double at the expense of Doncaster Rovers Reserves after a scrappy game at Tickhill Square.
A smart goal by Mugglestone, who flicked the ball over the advancing Imrie with his head from a pass by Fitzgerald, gave Denaby the lead, and though Waterston put the Rovers on terms, Armand banged the ball in from close quarters to restore Denaby’s lead.
Uren was outstanding in the Denaby defence while Astle kept a clever goal. Mugglestone and Hagger were a dangerous left wing but Shaw held his own on the other flank against Armand and Siddall.
Leivesley was a hard worker for Doncaster and Renshaw was the cleverest of the visiting forwards, with Waterston a thrustful leader.
