Denaby United 3  Shirebrook  3

Denaby United and Shirebrook drew 3 – 3 in a keenly contested game at Denaby last night, the issue being in doubt until the end.

Skeels, who scored two of Denaby’s goals, ought to have completed the “hat trick,” but, after being brought down the penalty area, he shot wide from the spot. His two goals came from Bennett’s centres.

Wood reduced the lead when he found the Denaby backs spreadeagled.

Ten minutes from time Marsden scored for Denaby with a fast ground shot, but Morris headed through for Shirebrook immediately afterwards, and then equalised from a penalty for hands in the last two minutes.
