Midland League Games.

Denaby United Forwards Show Good Form.

The United forwards gate a convincing display to obtain easy 4 – 0 victory over Loughborough Corinthians Midland League match at before a small attendance yesterday.

In the first half Denaby did the bulk of the attacking, but several chances were missed, and at the other end Taylor and Ashall had little difficulty in stopping the Loughborough advances. Only Murdin, on the left, and Harris, the centre, were all troublesome. After Munday had given Denaby the lead soon after the interval, it was a struggle between the forwards and the visitors’ defence. Further goals for Denaby were scored Bowen, Gilchrist, and Skeels.

Bradford City Res. and Bradford Res., the chief challengers of Grimsby Town Res., had an exciting match at Valley Parade yesterday, the City winning three goals to two. This victory places them level with Bradford, of whom they have three matches in hand, and eight points behind Grimsby, of whom they have four matches in hand. Hall the former Doncaster Rovers centre forward, did the “hat-trick” for the City, and Harwood got both goals for Bradford.
