The Denaby team journeyed to Derby on Saturday to meet the Derby County Reserves in the Midland League, but they received a severe beating.
The weather was all against good football. Both sides were well represented, but Derby had considerably the best of the first half, and Wheatcroft opened the scoring on their behalf, Boag adding a second before the interval.
In the second half, Derby continued to press, Ratcliffe and York scoring on their behalf, and Dudhill putting through his own goal.
