Denaby’s Double Over Frickley.

Frickley Colliery  2  Denaby United  3

Denaby completed the double over their neighbours, Frickley Colliery, by winning 3 – 2 at  South Elmsall. Erratic shooting was the chief cause of Frickley’s defeat. The forwards missed many easy chances near goal, whereas Denaby, although they had fewer opportunities, made better use of them.

Seth King dominated the game for Denaby, and headed them a smart goal, the others being scored by Adams and Haggar.

Frickley’s goals were obtained Mundy and Wheelhouse. Wright (left-back) and Pattison (centreforward) were outstanding for Frickley, and Gale gave a good display in the Denaby goal.
