Great Denaby Players

United yesterday transferred the two young and clever extreme wingers, A. Turner, outside-left, to Hull City, and A. Jenkins, the outside right to Lincoln city.

Both will play for their new clubs on Saturday next, Turner will appear in Hull City’s first team against Clapton Orient.

Turner, was formerly with Ecclesfield United, and Howells Sports.

Jenkins will turn out with Lincoln City’s reserve against Mansfield.

Turner is 21 years of age, stands 5 ft 9in., and weighs 11 stone.

Jenkins is 22 jeans ago, weighs 10 ½ stone and stands 5ft. 7ins.

Both players showed good promise with Denaby this season and have been watched by representatives of big clubs.

Note: Turner turned out for Huil city at Wembley in 1930.
