Grimsby Town Reserves 4 Denaby United 2

Denaby United’s Midland League side ran into further misfortune at Grimsby on Wednesday, when they lost 4-2 after twice leaving – in the first half and again in the second.

Clark put Denaby ahead, but a strong Grimsby Town Reserves equalised before half-time with a goal which Denaby disputed.

Rowney again sent Denaby ahead in the second half, but Grimsby were the stronger sides of more well in command in the last 20 minutes.

Boardman and Mayhall had good games for United, who have no Midland League engagement tomorrow (Saturday).

The reserves are at Beighton.
