Denaby United Unlucky to Lose at Hull.
Hull City Reserves 4 Denaby United 2
Denaby United did not deserve be defeated four goals two by Hull City Reserves in a Midland League game at Hull, yesterday.
They neglected numerous opportunities to score, but were distinctly unfortunate on several occasions. Moss was particularly unlucky in not adding to Gilchrist’s two goals, and his combination with Skeels was the chief feature of the visitors’ display.
Norman, centre half-back, was the only other player to impress, but Brannon, in goal, was in no way to blame for his side’s defeat. He made some good saves. Raleigh (two), Shankly, and Gowdy were the Hull scorers.
