at Lincoln. The visitors kicked off, and the all forwards soon invaded the Denaby territory, and an attack on the corner was made, but the backs gradually worked the ball out of danger.

Some clever passing was then displayed on the Denaby left-wing, but Pallister averted the danger. Later the ball was transferred to the right, and Lindley dashed away in fine form and shot somewhat feebly at goal, enabling boast to save.

Play was not exciting, but torwards the interval Denaby attacked more frequently, and at the interval no goals have been scored.

Soon after the resumption Hosey shot through for Denaby but was given offside.

Later Denaby attacked vigourously and Lavery scored.
