A feature the encounter between Lincoln City Reserves and Denaby United, on Sincil Bank, was the fine defensive work of the visitors, although they were beaten 4—l.

The Lincoln forwards were full dash, and the interval led 3- 1.The second half was for the most part atussle between the home forwards and the United’s defence, but so well did the latter perform that Lincoln were only able to score once, from a penalty kick.

For the winners Campbell and Hamilton scored two each. Denaby’s goal was secured by Jenkins.
