Denaby’s First Defeat.
Lincoln City Reserves 4 Denaby United 1
Lincoln City Reserves secured their fourth Midland League victory at the expense of Denaby United, who had not previously dropped a point.
Denaby were a better side than the score of 4 – 1 suggests, but, apart from Adams, in the centre, they lacked penetrative power in attack.
Lincoln’s goals were scored Moulon, with a great drive from 35 yards, Towler, Hall, and Betts, while Adams scored for Denaby. Gale kept a good goal for Denaby, and Taylor and Mountney were good defenders.
Moulson was outstanding in the Lincoln team at centre-half, and the local left-wing. Tower and Betts, both of whom signed professional forms during the weeks, again distinguished itself.
