Notts County Reserves were much too fast and clever for United at Meadow Lane yesterday, the visitors being over-run and beaten 7-1.
After Coglin had scored for the home team in the first minute, the result was never in doubt. Wright (two) and Shelton increased the County’s lead to four before half-time, and, although Moss scored a surprise goal for Denaby soon after resuming, Wright came along with three more goals (including one from a penalty) for the County.
