Notts Reserve 0. Denaby United 0
Played at Trent Bridge, yesterday, in fine weather. There was a strong east wind and this somewhat spoiled the football.
From the kick-off Denaby at once got going, and from a corner. Hartley hooked the ball over. When play was transferred, Bell struck the post. The visitors’ goal had another narrow escape just afterwards. The exchanges ruled even to half-time.
At the end of quarter of an hour in the second moiety the United forwards had splendid chance of getting a lead, but the chance was allowed slip. Play continued to run in favour of United, and Suter had save a well-placed free kick by Nimrod. Right to the finish, the visitors kept up the bombardment, but Suter was equal to all.
Final: Notts Reserve 0 Denaby United 0
